Kristin Fisher was hired by CNN on July 20, 2021. She is CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent. As a correspondent, she is responsible for covering everything including NASA's new Space Force to commercial space businesses and the advent space tourism. Kristin is mother of NASA astronauts, and also a space enthusiast has spent her entire childhood in the field. She spent five years as the White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy under the Biden and Trump Administrations. In that period, she also covered two presidential impeachment trials, the 2020 presdiential campaign and two administration's efforts to contain the pandemic of coronavirus. The president of the time Donald Trump traveled to Afghanistan on a highly-restricted trip.
